Nick Redmayne (Chair)

Nick Redmayne has spent the majority of his life in Cambridge having moved here with his family in 1962. Nick has always worked in the chartered surveyor/estate agency business having started with a local firm in 1977. In 1991 he and two others set up Redmayne, Arnold and Harris. Nick is aware of CamSight through his involvement with Cambridge Talking News, where he had been Chair from 1994 - 2024.

Jafar Mirza, OBE, has spent nearly three decades building bridges between communities, institutions, and the people they too often fail to reach. Alongside a career in business, he has held leadership roles across healthcare, education, and community advocacy.
Mandy Lyne

Mandy Lyne joined our Trustee Board in January 2025. Mandy is a science and law graduate from Cambridge University who became a solicitor specialising in employment law. After a spell in London after graduating, she has lived and worked in Wisbech and Cambridge. She has joined the board of CamSight after her recent retirement from private practice.

David Taylor (Treasurer)

After leading a research team in the chemical industry, David retrained as a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Advisor working for large accountancy firms in Cambridge for over 27 years providing many local companies with advice before semi-retiring in 2022.
Dame Mary Archer (Patron)

Dame Mary started her career as a physical chemist and taught Chemistry in Oxford, Cambridge and London. She has had a long association with the NHS, serving as chairman of Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust until 2012, and is President of Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust and Patron of Cambridge Global Health Partnerships.
Richard Newbery (Vice-Chair)

After training as a solicitor Richard specialised in corporate work at law firms in London and Cambridge, where he was a partner. In 1996 he became legal director and company secretary of a publicly quoted company operating private hospitals and nursing homes and subsequently of an international group manufacturing and distributing healthcare equipment worldwide.

Sean Rock BSc (Hons) M.C.Optom Dip SV Prof Cert Med Ret is a leading Optometrist at DH Thomas. As a local optometrist, Sean has been fundraising for CamSight for about 20 years and was proud to have been asked to join the board of trustees of CamSight in 2009.
Prof Keziah Latham

Kez Latham PhD Prof Cert LV FCOptom is Professor of Optometry at Anglia Ruskin University (ARU) in Cambridge, where she runs the Low Vision Service within the University Eye Clinic and teaches the assessment and management of people with visual impairment to undergraduate optometry and dispensing optician students.
