Leave a legacy

Every day, 250 people begin to lose their sight. CamSight is here to make sure that losing your sight doesn’t mean losing out on life. We provide vital practical and emotional support, to help people to live the lives they want – in their homes, careers, and communities across Cambridgeshire.

Legacies provide a vital part of our income and we simply cannot carry out our work without them. Please consider leaving a gift in your Will to CamSight. Whatever its size, your gift will mean we can continue to be there for local blind and sight impaired people when they need us.

Why having a will matters – And how you can create one for free

Have you ever thought about what would happen to your loved ones or your belongings if something unexpected were to happen to you? It’s not always easy to think about, but having a will is one of the most important things you can do to protect the people and causes you care about.

A will ensures that your wishes are clearly known and legally respected. It gives you peace of mind knowing that your family, friends, and any charities close to your heart - like CamSight - are looked after in the way you intend.

Create your free Will today

Thanks to our partnership with Octopus Legacy, CamSight supporters can now create a free, legally binding basic will online in just 15 minutes. It’s simple, secure, and completely free - no strings attached.

Whether you're updating an old will or writing one for the first time, this is a great opportunity to take that important step for your future and your loved ones.

Is this right for you?

This free service is ideal for straightforward estates, for example, if you’re leaving your assets to a few individuals or charities and your financial situation is relatively simple. However, if your estate is more complex (such as involving trusts, overseas assets, or business ownership), we strongly recommend seeking professional legal advice to ensure your wishes are fully protected.

If this sounds right, clicking the button below will take you to our Octopus Legacy partnership page. You will be able to start the free will writing process, and at the checkout you will be asked to enter our code: 'CAMSIGHTFREE', which waives their will writing fee entirely.

Free Online Basic Will Writing Service

If you have any questions whilst completing your free online Will, you can call Octopus Legacy's helpline for free on: 020 4525 3605. We also have a downloadable FAQ document from Octopus Legacy in size 14 text available here.

If you decide you need an in-person or phone Will writing appointment, Octopus Legacy charges from £150, depending on your individual requirements.

Let us know so we can thank you

We understand that making a Will is a very personal matter, however if you do intend making CamSight a beneficiary or have already done so, it would be helpful if you could let us know. As well as being of assistance for our future planning, it gives us an opportunity to acknowledge your generosity. Any information you give us will be in the strictest confidence.

If you have any questions about leaving a gift in your Will, please email [email protected] or call us on, 01223 420033.
