Sighted Guide Training and Awareness Talks

In addition to our Awareness Talks, we offer hands-on training to become a sighted guide. A sighted guide is a person who can guide somebody with sight loss confidently and safely.

Whether at work or in everyday life, these skills help create more inclusive and accessible spaces.

Our training can be tailored to be the most relevant for your company or community group. We will take into consideration where attendees interact with others and in what situations they may be asked to guide somebody, as well as the space you work in.

Tier One

Duration: 3 Hours
Group Size: 4 to 8 attendees
Includes: Sight loss awareness talk, activities simulating sight loss and potential challenges, sighted guide teaching and practical training.
Minimum suggested donation: £600

Tier Two

Duration: 3.5 Hours
Group Size: 9 to 14 attendees
Includes: Sight loss awareness talk, activities simulating sight loss and potential challenges, sighted guide teaching and practical training.
Minimum suggested donation: £700

Tier Three

Duration: 4 Hours
Group Size: 15+ attendees
Includes: Sight loss awareness talk, activities simulating sight loss and potential challenges, sighted guide teaching and practical training.
Minimum suggested donation: £800
