A sighted guide is a person who can guide somebody with sight loss confidently and safely. Best practices for guiding someone with sight loss Pair work to put sighted guide teaching into practise and experience being guided Supervised activities that simulate sight loss conditions and potential challenges faced Tailored guidance based on your environment and needs Whether at work or in everyday life, these skills help create more inclusive and accessible spaces. Our training can be tailored to be the most relevant for your company or community group. We will take into consideration where attendees interact with others and in what situations they may be asked to guide somebody, as well as the space you work in. Awareness Talks Sight Loss Awareness Talk Duration: 1 HourOur awareness talk teaches participants about different sight loss conditions and the challenges faced for people with them. This talk also highlights common misconceptions about sight loss and aims to leave participants feeling confident when conversing to those with sight loss in a respectful manner.
