Volunteer Sighted Guide Training and Safeguarding Training We provide all our volunteers with induction training, including; guiding techniques, safeguarding procedures, and essential organisational information. For those who have been volunteering for a while, we’ll ask you to book a refresher of Sighted Guide and Safeguarding training. Sighted Guide Training helps volunteers to confidently support people living with sight loss, whilst they participate in activities and navigate different environments. Key Focus Areas: Awareness of sight loss, common eye conditions, and their impacts. Best practices for guiding someone with sight loss. Techniques to support mobility and safety. Upcoming Session: Additional sessions will be announced soon. Safeguarding Training ensures volunteers are equipped to protect vulnerable individuals from harm and know how to report concerns.
