As part of HiVis Fortnight, run by Cambridgeshire Libraries, CamSight attended events at Papworth, Central Cambridge, Soham, and Chatteris. These events are a fantastic opportunity to raise awareness of the services available to people living with sight loss, and to connect with other local organisations.

Our Equipment and Accessibility Team were on hand to showcase a wide range of items including:

  • Optical and digital magnifiers
  • Portable and task lighting
  • Anti-glare eyewear
  • Talking clocks and watches
  • Large print diaries and calendars
  • Audiobooks and talking news devices
  • Accessibility features for mobile phones and tablets

Adrian, Equipment and Accessibility Support Worker:

"Visitors appreciated the chance to try out equipment, learn about available products, and gather ideas to support friends and family with sight loss.

For those with more specific needs, we signposted to specialist organisations such as DeafBlind UK, Glaucoma UK, Low Vision Clinics, and the RNIB."

Please get in touch with our team if you would like to arrange an appointment for them to visit you at home.
